Gives you a cozy feeling that small towns are small towns everywhere. Then you read this slice of life in upstate NY in 1925, and you realise it was nothing at all like Glenbogle.

Because I cooked a dinner to her request, Mrs B produced this from the secret store for a nightcap. A 20year Bowmore, quite harsh on first nosing at cask strength, pure liquid gold over the tonsils after water had opened it up. This, folks, was a dram to remember.

Looking at this poster's history, it's like someone used AI written by Lawrence Logic to programme a bot. Blocked.

If you don't have a branch of Gregg's offering folk a wide choice of cholesterol laden baked goods, I'm not sure you can even call yourself an intelligence agency.

You need to tell The British Library, mate - they obviously think they've got a real book on their shelves

Tonight’s bedtime tipple is from the same folk who gave the world the S-tank and the Draken. And damn , it’s not bad. There are Scottish distilleries turning out airport malts nowhere near as good.

Emery tape and elbow grease does the trick - probably took longer to work out to hold it than to clean it. It's pitted, but we're not working towards a precision fit on this bit.

Got it apart, alway a good start, and emptied out acorns, barn dust, fossilised insects, etc. It's been partly underwater, not uncommon when the creek burst it banks in its old home. But the motor and mechanicals look OK.
(and if anyone wonders, I'm posting this purely for my own amusement)

I don’t NEED a drill press to the point of buying one. But I’ve inherited a rather sad little one that’s spent the last few years unloved in a barn in upstate NY. It sort of works, so I’m going to try to get rid of the ‘sort of’.

The pose: I’m a very friendly cat. Look at how relaxed I am. Look at my cute little paws. Please tickle my tummy. Oh please, please, tickle my tummy.
NARRATOR: Do not tickle her tummy. Hell follows.
