Hamilton County is a bipartisan community, one of the few in Indiana. YOU can make an impact locally when you get involved with your @hamcodemsin.bsky.social.
Josh Lowry and his new team are leading the way!

It’s wild to me that in 3 weeks, Fishers city council is going to approve a rental cap in your neighborhood & control who you can sell your house to. Why wouldn’t the city host a town hall to inform and listen to residents first?

Indiana’s lawmakers are not happy about all of us who vote early and would prefer we cut that out.
Measure halving early voting period heads to Senate floor • Indiana Capital Chronicle
Hoosier voters could see early in-person voting slashed from a month to two weeks under legislation that emerged from committee Monday.

“Hoosier women deserve better. Public service should inspire and empower, not intimidate or oppress. The time for change is now.”
@andreamwatts.bsky.social, thank you. The time for women to be heard is now.
🖊️I wrote about the pervasive issue of sexual harassment in local politics. It’s time to demand accountability & create systems that protect and empower. Let’s make public service safe for everyone. Thank you to the Indy Star for allowing me the platform: www.indystar.com/story/opinio...
Sexual harassment is pervasive in local politics. We need bipartisan solutions. | Opinion
Women are fed up with a culture of misconduct that has persisted for decades.

“School Choice” itself isn’t the reason why Indiana has a less-educated workforce and lower wages. The culprit is Indiana GOP hell-bent on defunding public schools! “School Choice” is their disguise to siphon $ from public school kids.

I support school choice. It hasn't worked in Indiana. | Opinion
Indiana's economy worsened under school choice. The prognosis is for more of the same.

THIS is my hope for the future Indiana Democratic Party and all who participate within it.

key:
customers = Hoosiers
our ballclub = Indiana Democratic Party
teammates = teammates

Abuse is about power and control. Nothing changes because the powerful ones control how abuse is dealt with.
The courageous ones are the women who stand up to report while healing from abuse. Thank you for trying.

I paid the price for reporting Curtis Hill's abuse. Nothing changed. | Opinion
Our reporting hasn't created processes where Statehouse staffers can report abuse to an independent agency.

Listening to women’s voices, @indems.bsky.social takes a good step forward here. I requested a code of conduct for Fishers City Council but was flatly ignored by leadership. Ignoring harassment because it is politically uncomfortable is rotten.

I'm proud to Chair @supportccs.bsky.social. Remember that M4L person who quoted Hitler? She's in our town, and supported ultra conservatives to take over our school board. Will you help us by donating this Giving Tuesday so that we can continue the good fight in a non-election year? bit.ly/44U4Kxo

Is this another example of a qualified woman being rejected for leadership - to instead elevate a man who is accused of harming women? Sure seems like it.
Democrats' vote for Greg Taylor as Senate minority leader was a political act, not a judicial proceeding. They had good reason to pick *literally anybody else*. www.indystar.com/story/opinio...

We celebrate opening of new Fishers Event Center today!But remember when the new food & beverage tax was charged to help fund it. Fishers residents will pay tax forever even after debt is paid off. I was only city councilor opposed to that significant detail.

My week so far - A State Senator who I admired accused of sexual harassment 3x and still pursued & won Leadership. Intimidating KKK fliers litter neighborhoods in my city. Our top-notch school district clumsily tries to convince us that a new charter school is a good idea.
