I'd guess Fox counts on their viewers being very stupid. Most of the trash they've dished out has been totally believed to be fact by millions in your country, and some in ours. Fox stated they are 'Entertainment' not 'News' as a defense in a defamation suit, but their viewers somehow missed that.

As Trump gears up to start a war so he can call off any future elections, I believe these quotes from a US classic to be true & timely. Vonnegut's 14 satirical novels are classics of the American counterculture. They particularly resonated with the US antiwar sentiment during the Vietnam War era.

I'm with all Americans fighting to restore Democracy and decency to your government, and for anyone who holds those committing the atrocities & terrorist acts sparked by your gov't accountable. Have to say though, at the moment, on balance, it still feels like your country fits this description.

Trumpers know full well what they're causing ordinary people with their greed and power grab. I, like millions of Canadians, am praying ordinary US citizens get your power back, and the unlawful hounding & detention of innocent people is stopped.

One of the actual dropping prices your president and his handlers have made happen. Of course, they'll all buy the low-priced stocks because they know their next move will hike the prices and they'll make another bundle. All for the non-benefit of ordinary Americans of course.

A friend said my art could be a cover for a futuristic novel. I'd write one, but I'd want it to be filled with possibility for a united world. Doesn't seem possible right now. Re US politics-it isn't your demented pres. running your country. It's the highly intelligent & evil oligarchs running him.

When I started learning to draw, I was given a book that had works by many of the 'old masters'. I spent hours, actually months, trying to draw what they had drawn and painted. I still return to them to practice some skills. "Drawing Lessons from the Great Masters: 45th Anniversary Edition"

Response to a friend's query regarding Diarmaid MacCulloch's latest book, "A history of sex and Christianity". I was raised Catholic, sort of. For me, things changed when I started to actually think about what I was being told. No 'teaching' took place.

This difference is mostly true, but in Canada some premiers and the leader of the opposition continue to stir up the anger of far-right extremists to the detriment of our society as a whole. When will humans learn to work together for the benefit of everyone...not soon I think.
