I just called my reps with @5calls.org, you should too: 5calls.org
They give you the numbers and a sample script, or you can say it in your own words. This is a great tool.

“America's Comeback” Is Nothing but a Con Job
open.substack.com/pub/thomhart...
This article makes it clear why and when our government stopped being by and for the people. It lays out specific points that would make a good Democratic platform.
“America's Comeback” Is Nothing but a Con Job
The recycled lies of trickle-down economics, designed to crush workers, women, and minorities alike…

Politicians may slash budgets and dismantle institutions, but they cannot erase the principle that built them: that caring for others is a moral obligation, not a partisan position.

So let me get this straight: masks are bad and un-American if worn to fight a pandemic, but good if worn by people claiming to be government agents when they kidnap people off the street

Musk continues to cut the infrastructure of SSA. It won't be long until the remaining staff will be unable to manage benefits. That is a devastating possibility. This is an unlawful incursion, and it needs to be litigated asap.

Where is Kamala Harris? Waltz is holding rallies. Other Dems are having town halls. I haven't seen or heard anything from her. We supported her in the 24 election. She should help the country now.

This all started with Trump signing hundreds of executive orders, none of which have the power of law. Sooner rather than later, they need to be debunked--pulled apart and presented to the American people for what they are. Our willingness to just accept them gives them power.

I have checked major media outlets, and they mention USAID briefly, but there is no urgency. They're mostly focused on tariffs. Musk invading our top-secret files with his unvetted team is A MAJOR PROBLEM.
I wonder if tariffs were put in place now as a distraction from the coup in progress.

This morning, I have tried repeatedly to contact both my senators and Chuck Shumer's office, and I can't even leave a message. I think we'd have better luck standing on the lawn with signs.

Democracy Playbook 2025 www.brookings.edu/articles/dem...
Not a short read, actually more like something to come back to as needed, but this is a great guide to protecting and improving our democracy.
Democracy Playbook 2025
Norm Eisen and Jonathan Katz provide actionable steps for democratic actors in the U.S. and globally to strengthen democratic institutions and resist illiberal forces.

@hartmannreport.com I recently discovered the Hartmann Report, and I am blown away by the depth of his analysis. Unfortunately, it reinforces the sense of doom that is hanging over me. I want to help change the trajectory, but I don't know what I can do. What is any other average citizen doing?
