I find this so difficult to read - I caught COVID that week and have had long COVID since then. It was terrifying at the time and I'll probably carry the trauma it caused me for the rest of my life. But at least I'm still here (although disabled) unlike so many others.

I'm not sure it's being avoided - there was a lengthy discussion about the impact of Jota's death on the team on 5Live last Saturday lunchtime. But you're right about the grieving process - it's going to take time. You'd hope the players are getting help from the club with that process.
