Be very slightly wary of taking Merlin suggestions at face value (and make sure you have the relevant pack for your region) - it recently proclaimed one of my hens (in Scotland) to be a ‘northern loon’. Wrong species but to be fair on the app it’s actually pretty accurate if you’ve ever met her.

Just re-found you as left the other place some time ago and only just getting into Bluesky. Saw a post about YOUR cat and had to scroll all the way here for the back story. As a previous owner of a cat that moved to her #notmycat home (for complex but happy reasons) I’m delighted for you both!

In the office recently, describing the trials on an online meeting, I 'did a Norman Collier' and received furrowed brows and stony silence. Where were all these people in the 70's?! Turns out I'm a lot older than my colleagues than I care to admit to myself.

Fabulous, but I still haven't managed to see one since I was a child (=geeky youth birder), despite lurking suspiciously in the Tay Reed beds for the past few years!
