One of my favorite projects is studying honey 🐝s as they age. Queens can live up to 8 years and workers live usually for 8 weeks (up to 8 mo in winter), but they share the same genetics! Using 🐝s as a new model to study the biology of aging will hopefully give us new opportunities to ameliorate it.
