Yesterday evening sunshine glowed on and on and a bunch of roses from Jane who helps with cleaning and I was not expecting this at all !

Good Morning, tweaking quantities of pain relief to see what can get me though the night. Concentration shot to pieces, haven’t been out ‘for a walk’ for weeks. No appetite.Lost rather a lot of weight, assorted awful symptoms and side effects, ridiculous numbers of pills. Full time job this. 😘🤷

This fig tree which was a cutting off my big one has died in the heat.

I can see this bright sprawl of a garden centre pre-planted planter from my chair in the sitting room-it’s quite jolly and has survived the heat

Handheld battery operated fan which folds to form a stand. 3 speed, hypnotic on low. Think B got in Argos. Not bad and a lot better than nuffin. NHS no air con.

There a Farro croissant warming in the oven - really hoping I can manage to eat at least part of it. Have lost weight a bit quickly lately. 🥐

Rereading a book I was given in 1964 by Grandma and Grandpa

It will look like this in a few years if you put it in some soil, indirect light or at least not full sunlight all day. Water once in a while. Very low maintenance.

Sometimes so clever but this glass door baffles them

Home growing - just a few things planted by B - as yet uneaten (shhhh) by snails, dug up by mice, squashed by cats and foxes, nibbled by pigeons - what are the odds?
June 14, 2025 at 6:09 PM
Oh oh look what has popped up ! I’ve never had such a red poppy - I used to sow breadseed poppy - but I never had any success - if it’s that it’s been in the soil for five years or more 😍

#bookwormsat I don’t know if you’d call it literature but my whole school read it when it came out because of the fuss. Remarkably fresh reading today - #bannedbooks (I think it was the explicit advice on sex and drugs that got the oldies - such a repressed mainstream culture)
