There are staff that can’t respond because they are on vacation, out sick, on military orders, don’t typically have access to a work computer, on their assigned days off, paternity leave, or any of the other approved forms of leave.

Never mind having to respond to an unelected oligarch.
He’s threatening to fire federal employees who don’t respond to his email by tomorrow. He has already fired employees with impeccable performance reviews. Promotions will be based on responses to his email rather than detailed performance evaluations by their direct supervisor.

Neither Trump not Elon have provided a single bit of proof for their claims. No transparency whatsoever. We’re expected to believe their lies, rejoice in their in their robbery of the American people and our government, and continue to go about our daily lives as if nothing is happening.

I believe this is Trump testing the waters. He is pushing the limits to see what he can get away with. Actions like this will also make some of his future actions more acceptable despite how horrendous his future actions would have been perceived in the past.
