For #WorldEmbroideryDay I thought I 'd share this little bird crossbody bag I made with #upcycled fabric scraps. The bird is #handstitched #applique and #embroidery on cotton twill. Lots of inside pockets too. If you'd like to make it yours, it's available in my online shop. See bio for link.

My final #memademay2025 post is this 1940s style dress with a sweetheart neckline and princess seams. I used a vintage cotton knit and one of my mom's McCall patterns from the 1970s! The retro look was really big then as it is now.

Not having enough yardage of this embossed cotton to make an entire garment, I pieced strips of linen with it to make a simple blouse. Indigo patch added on back just for fun.
