For tons of folks, there was that -one- game that blew the doors open and showed what #TTRPGs could be. The one that started the #IndieGame rabbit hole.

What was YOUR "gateway" indie #TTRPG? The first one that made you realize a whole other world was out there?

For #SuperMarioBros40th I booted up my NES-mini at my parents place and played it and other classics for 2 hours. But the experience was only complete when I heard my parents say "turn that off and come have dinner". Biggest shot of nostalgia ever!

Yesterday I ran another session of TSL rpg for my friend group. I love how creative, happy and involved everyone gets about sci-fi magical girl cheeky action. We finished the evening with a game of Intarsia boardgame, and the host snapped this pic of me pondering my next move. Good times!

In 2024 I took up the challenge of managing events for my boardgame group. It has been very rewarding, and a lot easier than I thought it would be. Having a scheduled meetup with friends has given me a lot of confort and satisfaction, and making everyone feel welcomed at events...

This is the finish line of one of my favourite mountain trails, and it has a fitting name: "the Devil's Horns".
Very on the nose.

I borrowed a resin printer from a friend and made my first successful print yesterday. Simple bases for minis are looking good, so I'm hopeful to make some cool minis in the future.

So, it's 2024, uh?

Last wednesday I finished a Vampire the Masquerade 5ed campaign that lasted 16 sessions thru 3 years. Scheduling doom spiral aside, everyone had great fun!
But hours later I realized we forgot about the MacGuffin that started it all! Player's stories became more important, and that's excellent.

Even after getting severely trashed in Ark Nova, I still think it was a great first experience. I call these games a "mountain of cards" and at first they didnt feel great, but I’m steadily changing my mind.

After years of waiting, I've joined a nascent Vampire: Dark Ages campaign. My feral Gangrel will soon realise his coterie mates murdered and diablerized an elder to whom he was very close. There will be drama for sure.
Also, it's great to play with newbies!

Finished my first Witcher book, The Last Wish. Enjoyable read, but after watching the show and having read Conan and Elric, it all seems too... familiar. Good pacing, clear structure, but very tropey and derivative. Might read one more
