Microsoft is as sure about who's going to lead the race as the rest of us, might as well bet on all horses.

The tire management being so great has helped McLaren win most of the races this year, without it I don't think that car would be as successful. It's crazy how often both drivers find themselves stuck behind slower cars, just because of the straight-line speed gap.

My take is that McLaren needs to find a better compromise between medium/high-speed cornering and straight-line speed. The current mix does make them the strongest car on average but makes qualifying more important than the race itself, as most of the overtaking happens on straights.

It's not disliked by the customer, the customer loves it, then imposes it on the people that actually dislike the software.

Amazing, just in time, was looking into something like this.

They're always sitting ducks on straights, that's the one thing that annoys me, they make it so hard to overtake counting on good qualis, but even the perfect quali day will leave one of the drivers out cold.

How's that different from what they have today? Or are you not counting the wings as a "part"? Because they can adjust the wings, just not replace them with a different spec.

I wonder why NOR always seems to have a top speed deficit to PIA. Not sure if it's due to setup differences or just PIA having better exits and being able to squeeze that extra km/h.

I was told 2 inches was nothing to fuss about.

First time was right after a turn and the second time it's in a straight, to me it's what makes it worse, he's breaking heavily in an unexpected place and that makes it bad enough to warrant a penalty.

Watch Max's onboard in both situations to see they're different. First restart Oscar slows down out of a corner, while on the second he's gaining speed and then suddenly breaks on a straight, Max barely sees him on time, with the spray.

Biggest issue was the timing on the call for the SC to go in.

As much as I think the move was on the dangerous side, and that even so the penalty was a bit harsh, I don't imagine the FIA are handing out penalties by watching the camera feed. Or at least I hope they're not.

Incredible performance by McLaren and their drivers

Believe temps will be higher during the race, right? I imagine the picture for Mercedes should change quite a bit.

You really don't care about looking dumb, do you?

Just a formality, Lando will continue to say he's at fault and they'll close the case.
June 15, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Did he forget there's an Oscar in the middle? And that the race will be hotter than quali?
June 15, 2025 at 11:36 AM
Thank God! That gave me quite the scare.

He just needed some better coffee.

It's one thing to be trained in the rules and it's another to know racing. Racing drivers are usually more aware of how a rule break might have been induced by the machinery vs the driver doing a mistake or even doing it on purpose, especially when it comes to calling racing incidents.

Clearly a Lando Norris fan.

I'm happy they did, they brought back quality to streaming services. Long gone are the days that Netflix was full of quality exclusives.
