Aaron Paul is a full-on Light Phone guy. I talked with him and Light CEO @kaiweitang.com last night. Great combo. Me: buys and tests every new gadget. Aaron: no computer, uses a Light Phone and only uses his iPhone sparingly. Made for a fun conversation.

Today you can pre-order the 1X Neo humanoid robot for $20K. As in, it will come live in your house in 2026.*

I spent a lot of time with Neo. You do not want to miss this wild video and column.

*Also, a teleoperator might need to peer into your house. Like I said, wild. www.wsj.com/tech/persona...

Trump's tariffs could increase the cost of an iPhone 16 Pro by almost $300. Who pays for it? Us or Apple?

And if we moved iPhone manufacturing to the U.S.? Let’s just say… get ready for a bajillion-dollar iPhone.

We broke down the bill of materials. www.wsj.com/tech/persona...

Yesterday at Davos: Anthropic CEO told me around 2027 for AI that's better than a human at everything—or almost everything.

Today at Davos: OpenAI's Kevin Weil tells me "I don't even know if it'll be 2027. I think it could be earlier."

As part of my AI-life-takeover for the year, I have ChatGPT sending me AI tasks to do every day. Here’s today’s. AI has a very weird view of how humans like to spend our time.

I love my hallucinated husband. Yes, Apple Intelligence keeps insisting I have one when summarizing my wife’s messages. Apple says it’s working on a fix and designed its AI to avoid reinforcing stereotypes and biases. More in my newsletter: techthings.cmail20.com/t/d-e-sjrttn...

It’s about time. Apple Intelligence notification summaries have been disabled for all news apps in iOS 18.3 Beta 3.

Apple says it’s working on improvements and will make them available in a future software update.
