Christian. Politically center left and very concerned about our country. I'm likely to comment on political posts, all things football, books, and beautiful photography. More likely to comment than post.
I called my Republican congresspeople and read this to them. They need to get off their butts and start negotiating with Democrats to figure out the ACA subsidies.

My brain can't even comprehend the highlighted quote in this article from NPR. The cruelty that uses this as a rationale to force Democrats to cave on ACA subsidies is mind-boggling.

My sign and the great turnout in Fort Bend County, TX! Just a few counter protesters and lots of encouraging honks Thanks to the organizers for another peaceful event. @indivisible.org @50501movement.bsky.social

I love living in someone's personal piggy bank with blatant bribery on display. And the stock market thinks it's a positive. Late stage capitalism is a winner. 🤬

Way to go, Houston! They estimated 2,500 in Sugar Land. 💪

My sign is ready for later today. I'm proud of my pool noodle sign pole. 😂 #nokings

The bill is to stop things like that. Political advertising will need to have a disclaimer if the quote, video, etc. didn't happen in real life. I LOATHE most things the TX Legislature does, but this makes sense.

I LOATHE many of the things the Texas Legislature does, but this isn't what the law says. The text says they have to post if the quote or video didn't appear in real life. And it says political advertising. Politicians say and do enough dumb things that we're set for life.

CNN stepped up their game.

My mom's sign was awesome! She's a former teacher and it shows.

When Drudge and Fox News give better positioning to stories about the protests than CNN, NBC, and MSNBC. 😠
ABC News for the win!

Sugar Land, TX is small but mighty! 200ish?

I've loved Langston Hughes since high school, but I didn't really get it. I read "Let America Be America Again" and wow. This stanza did me in. I want "the land that never has been yet" for everyone. Let's go.

Random thoughts on world leaders and their handshake approaches. Some world leaders show hands as equals, while Trump tries to dominate some and acquiesce to others. Who gets which handshake approach is quite telling.

How far down the chain of command we would have to go is terrifying. Is Grassley our best hope?

Do we think they're talking about the biggest social security scam ever with DOGE getting access to our data for whatever purpose they choose?? That's definitely a scam that needs to be stopped.

My Duck Duck Go tabs (because I'm mad at Google) look like my brain. There's some random tidbit I'm looking up, news items that make me 🤬, and something related to my creative outlet. Currently learning Tunesian Crochet. Because we need balance right now.

I have contacted my senators and representative repeatedly on a variety of subjects. I sent this email today. It'll be interesting to see what I get back.

I'm doing this daily. It's quite cathartic to write things like this. 😆

My daily feedback on their results for Gulf of Mexico in Google Search.
February 13, 2025 at 12:32 AM
You can give feedback in Google Search. I'm doing it daily. I search Gulf of Mexico and the Send Feedback. So ridiculous!

You can give feedback in Google Search. I'm doing it daily.
February 11, 2025 at 9:17 PM
You can report it in Google Search. Select Send Feedback and then click on the name "Gulf of America." I'm reporting it as inaccurate content daily.

I have an Android, so I'm stuck with Google for a lot of things. I refuse to get directions that include the Gulf of America. Hello, MapQuest.

I just discovered usaspending.gov and I'm a fan. Shutting down USAID will save, at most, 0.3% of the annual budget and people will die. Meanwhile, guess which departments have contracts with he-who-shall-not-be-named??
