Am I the only one who sees these messages posted and isn’t sure which ones are real and which ones are faked because they all seem equally crazy?

Isn’t this the issue? Starmer had a week where he looked like he might be decisive and now it looks like they’re just anxiously hoping for crumbs from Trump’s table. Reporting suggests too many in Europe - inc UK - are still deluded about reality.

Yes! This the real failure of the US election. Research showed that the Democrats policies were infinitely more popular when they were tested blind and Biden passed some landmark legislation but was such a poor communicator and trust was so low in “the brand” that none of that mattered!

It’s easy to feel real despair at the moment and like it’s almost inevitable that we carry on down this path we’re on. I loved that you had some real solutions. I just really hope that Starmer et al recognise the seriousness and urgency of the moment and don’t let us trundle on aimlessly

Biden subscribed to the “fake it till you make it” approach to seeing off threat of what he saw as the aberration of Trump. Seems the Garland appt & his actions are fully in line with this. Garland too thought he should avoid even appearance of politicizing DOJ & this is the result.
