First Nature states there is a white form. I do think I can detect a hint of pink though.

That is very special. What breed at that height I wonder? A pony used by the Sherpa tribe perhaps?
Here is mine, also in the fireplace.

There are zero feeders that keeps squirrels out. I bought another type, and it chewed through the plastic, after getting in through the wire cage. I was told by the company it must have been a young animal to get in; they replaced it. I've since put it back up and now ... not even the birds go in!

Hmm, more like Snowy Waxcap, Hygrocybe virginea. Helvella crispa doesn't have gills.

Thanks Keith, feeling better today. Just as well, I’m doing a fungi foray on Holy Isle on Sunday! Enjoying the book very much.

Such a beautiful photo, but marred by the graffiti. Can’t understand the mentality of people who do that. Hope the Park Rangers get up there and clean it.

Some of it I wasn’t quite so enthusiastic about, until I read the background stories, eg the Graveyard

Not sure why I’m not seeing reply posts! I first saw her here in Edinburgh in November 1986. Her voice hasn’t changed, nor has she changed, much!
