It's not just on Tumblr too, it's a problem on every social media pretty much, even here on bsky i had to block two of these accounts

Tumblr is full of these scammers, i would say beware of people suddenly asking on comments and dms if you do commissions, most of the time they are bots. They mostly appear when you put popular art tags and they are fast to comment on them.
