Retired. Quilter, knitter. Dog lover. Sports love.
Mom and Grandma.
Next quilting project. And it’s designed to allow for the maker to design each block to satisfy their own whims. I can foresee a big stack of fabrics and parchment paper and a pencil and my sewing machine!

Yarn tip.

I read somewhere that an empty toilet paper roll would fit over the ‘rod’ on a ball winder. And it does!
It also has kept this somewhat slippery yarn from collapsing and tangling.

Took the quilt top to Celtic Quilter for long-arming, but ended up bringing it back home. I found what are to me the PERFECT border fabrics. May not be anyone else’s cuppa tea and may not turn out as I envision it, but it’s making me happy.

A Pi Shawl. Designed by Elizabeth Zimmerman, the godmother of modern knitting, in my opinion. A truly brilliant mind.

Almost finished with center. Now debating border fabrics. A smart person might have done this before beginning. But where’s the fun in that?

Thoroughly enjoyed the segment on state fairs. My grandmother, mother and I all won sweepstakes awards at the Ky State Fair many years ago. That display is one of my prize possessions. (My grandmother’s ribbon has sun faded to pink because she kept it out on a table so everyone could see it. :>)

Time for some actual planning of placement for future colors.

Well, not completed, but paper piecing is finished on those blocks.
