Be proactive. Find a small way you can help the situation or defy it. I'm reading Dr. Sunita Sah's book "Defy: The Power of No in a World That Demands Yes." It helps us understand, in her words, how defiance is a way "to act in accordance with your true values when there is pressure to do otherwise"
