they are a brain and their brain does not work properly, then it is easy for them not to be understood as a person.

The "I think therefore I am" which is the start of the brain in body idea, contributes to the devaluing of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

Yesterday Mark took a photo wearing his purple socks as earrings and challenged me to do better. This isn't an attempt to outdo him (I will need longer to plot that) but the ridiculous of the photo and

posts photos on social media about how his bag of piss is sexy! Parallel offers everything my Grandfather would have loved in the challenge events. And the visibility of disability, the celebration of diverse bodies and minds sends such a strong clear message that you

went out loads, active, adventurous, social. After...was a different story. Grandpa was embarrassed by his disability. Especially things like bags of wee tapped to his leg.

Now to Mark. Mark uses a wheelchair, he goes out in public dressed in ridiculous clothes (no shade Mark), he

see them on the water from his bedroom window. My Grandma's life too changed, she became his fulltime carer. She was small and delicate, yet on powercut days could muster the strength to lift the hulk of my Grandfather into his bed.

Before the accident they both
