#dvpw2024 officially kicked off this afternoon in Göttingen! Together with Sandra Plümer and @csmithochoa.bsky.social , I hosted a highly interesting panel on crises and theories of the policy process. Today only hybrid participation, but tomorrow I am happy to join in person 🤩

We review the NPF’s development since it’s inception in the early 2000s, with a focus on the usage of theoretical elements (hero, villain, victim, plot etc.) in empirical applications. 2/11

Bye St. Gallen, it was great to be here at the annual SVPW conference! I received many helpful inputs for my project on narratives and fossil fuel phase-outs. And so inspiring to learn about fellow researchers’ latest projects! Grateful to belong to this community.

I investigate both RS’ motivations and its effects on the org’s employees. While the individuals performing RS mostly wanted to uphold the principle of fair public discourse, employees perceived and appreciated reputational support in a very difficult situation for them. 3/4

I learnt a lot at last week’s workshop on #sustainability, #transitions, and #discourse organized by Rosa Lehmann & Alejandro Ecker (HCIAS and HCE, Heidelberg University). Many fascinating presentations by and fruitful exchanges with scholars from Latin America and Europe!
