Sometimes we sneak away and ride trails around a lake. Lexi is a surprisingly reliable trail horse. Well, not really surprising seeing as the moment we had 10 rides under our belt we spent all our hours on trail rides. Still, even though she hasn’t been out in 4 years she’s as solid as a rock.

Her 1/4 Arab is showing again 😂 Cold weather makes for a very saucy pony.

THIS is what keeps happening. It was cold (like mid 40’s at the photo time) and rainy today, which made my fingers do what my toes have been doing lately. Super cold, very white colored, and kind of numb. I was outside for *maybe* 2 minutes at this point. I walked from a warm building, to my car.

Made an 82% hydration sourdough loaf! It was a terrifying venture and involved a lot of just trusting the process. I’m not gonna lie, I’m crazy proud of it. Wish it was t as dark as it is, but I guess that’s mildly common with high hydration.

The theme of the past 2 weeks has been: How many times can I eff up bread. Today’s is another Challah bread. It turned out beautiful. Cooked to perfection, golden brown top that stayed soft, lovely crumb. It would be perfect if I hadn’t have FORGOTTEN THE GOD DAMN SALT IN THE RECIPE.

Idk how I feel about it yet. Owner wants a review but I think I need to break it down more. I contacted an independent fitter to come work the panels. It’s synthetic wool flocked and it needs some work to get it to fit well. Right now it’s very cantle high.

Am I being overly sensitive, or is this comment off putting? It’s an ad for horse grooming products and the video very clearly depicts a horse’s tail with the rear end of the horse very visible.

Pony was pretty stoked to run around after being cooped up because of our recent downpour. The rain is supposed to let up soon, so she gets to go back outside. Her tiny pony boots came in, and fit!
