He's just pointing out the obstacles an RPG game has to go over to win in general. With two being nominated there was no path to rebirth winning is what he's saying. Astrobot was very deserving.

I agree with the sentiment of this 100%, but also, you can't blame crowds for being cooled off on certain characters. Okada aura isn't the same for a lot of fans.
