Soto ayam for Indonesia. Bright, rich, fresh, clean, warming, spicy bowl of chicken noodle soup perfectly cut the stretch of holiday eating. Served with turmeric rice, cilantro, drizzled onions, more lime, and sambal oelek. 🇮🇩

Latest country to cook was Sweden 🇸🇪

Kept it simple w Swedish meatballs, boiled herb potatoes, lingonberries, homemade pickles, & Nordic slaw w red cabbage, raw beets, red carrots, red onion from the farm dressed in a lemony yogurt dressing & fresh dill. My kids declared it “better even than IKEA”

It was a nice change of pace to be off cooking duty for Thanksgiving, but I’ve been itching to cook all week.

What’s for lunch: creamy spinach-artichoke-chicken stew, mustard greens and kale with bacon, freshly baked bread, spiced apple cake to finish.
