I'm used to the loony types here in the states with MAGA, this is no different. The ones cheering for this are going to realize they've might've screwed their chances of being in the final anyway, whatever artist they get will get downvoted immediately on YouTube, security concerns, etc.

. The only way is to vote for a country that hasn't won before. Croatia, Lithuania, Georgia, Armenia, etc. Build those countries up. I get the frustration, really do but you're letting Israel win this before it's begun. That defeatist attitude is the reason why they gloating right now.

We could always make sure they never go into the finals for the foreseeable future. That would be bold statement to let them know they're not welcome. They might have screwed themselves either way,their act will be downvoted to oblivion on YouTube. Their televote safety net is gone, people are livid

That's the only silver lining to this situation Is that they might have screwed themselves. Whatever artist and song they get, they will be extremely scrutinized. They might choose to withdraw due to security concerns. We don't know, this a wait and see kind of situation.

I totally get the frustration with how the vote went. But the EBU should have at least listened to the concerns instead of just ignore it all together. Israel has to actually behave. And with people livid, I would not be surprised if they are stuck in the semifinals for a while as retribution.

I watch it in the states. Some part of me wants to see the schadenfreude coming to a certain country. They might be stuck in the semis for the foreseeable future, thanks to the changes and the televote being fractured. They don't realize that they might have screwed themselves either way.

Not so fast on that. The safety net they had in the televote is gone thanks to those that withdrew as the Rest of the world vote includes the that withdrew now. And with what kind of act they get and the new changes, they might not survive the semifinals.They might be screwing themselves either way.

That's part of the reason I might stick around to watch as you guys have kicked major ass. I think it's going to be hard but you guys have never failed in my book. Good luck to you guys. <3

That might be the silver lining to all this. They have to abide to those new rules, if they don't then those countries that left were correct in withdrawal. They don't think Israel will change at all, which I have to agree on. They were given chances to leave and regroup back in a few years, but no.

I have to agree , those votes that were there in the past, now are gone. They don't have that safety net like they did before. The Rest of the world vote has been their saving grace but it might not save them. Not to mention with the new changes, they might not survive the semifinals.

I'm American and have watched the contest in some way since Lordi won. I want to be excited but I'm disappointed. But I'm not surprised at the result as I knew the changes were the only thing that kept them in the contest. This is going to bite the EBU in the ass. They really screwed themselves.

I have to agree. The EBU really screwed themselves. The countries that left, might not come back until Israel withdrawals. I wouldn't be surprised if more withdrew in the next few days. They made their bed, that have to lay on it.

Yeah, this is going to end up biting the EBU in the ass when the contest is going on. Not only did they ignore the concerns that members had, they refused to vote to expel them. At least put it on record, even if it failed. They're going to really convince them to come back to the contest come '27.

You might as well give it to Sweden at this point. lol. But I would be surprised if Albania or Italy wins that.

I totally agree, it's not just the one side. I watch it for the music as the music here in the states is mid at minimum as I want new music. Do I want some reform with the voting, kinda as there should be some clarification on the televote as I think some are taking advantage of it.

I'm American and I've watched it since 2006, The singer isn't the problem as they aren't at fault for what's going on. It's the vocal minority that think they're the authority to demand things. They're making fools of themselves, they're worse than PETA, and the oil protesters.
