If the recent prompt-to-code AI tool explosion will force the tech industry to reflect on, but properly:

"How much of software engineering is the act of writing the *code* itself?"

It's a key part: but it turns out that there are many other things that are key to software

People gaming the system and AI is eroding the quality of the job market.

Crazy we are here. Less government oversight doesn’t fix this btw

Thank you Bluesky for letting us do breaking news again 🥺
I came onto Bluesky an hour ago, and the first two things I saw were posts providing useful context for understanding the imposition of martial law in South Korea—the exact kind of thing that Twitter used to be so useful for in a developing crisis.

The real-time reporting of South Korea today was far easier to follow along on Bluesky than X. It’s these moments that define these platforms. Bluesky really does have the juice.

I started writing a service with Axum and sqlx.

I enjoy the experience more than the work i’ve done with Springboot + Hibernate + JPA.

Instead if it’s all baked in, it seems like they’ve left the ingredients on the counter top and a recipe on the side just in case you need it.

1: If an amnesty is given for loan conversions to equity until January does that also apply for commercial deals (to be consistent)?
