About two thousand people showed up for No Kings @50501movement.bsky.social in Roanoke VA this afternoon: at both Washington Park and the intersections of Orange Ave and Gainsboro Rd. Fabulous, creative work! So much more enthusiasm from drivers than at any of the previous No Kings events.

Ah! I'm understanding this a bit better. If you look at this image AND the instructions, the point is NOT for the photographer/filmmaker to catch the reflection, but for the one giving the direction. That's impossible to document without fictionalizing the situation.

Protest: Hands-Off Ambler, PA earlier today. About 100 people. For every 20 cars honking, thumbs-up, spirited support of some kind, one person actively throwing bad attitude. Best sign: "Honk if you never texted war plans!" Though I still love the penguin w/ "Resist."

In New Philadelphia, OH for a wedding. Checked MoveOn's "Hands Off Our Freedom Rally" website, which I'll link to in the comments, and found an action nearby. Great turnout! Grateful to @moveon.org for promoting and making this one easy to find!

Serious question. Where are Mahmoud Khalil, Rumeysa Ozturk, and others? Are they confirmed to be at the ICE Processing Center in Jena LA? Is anyone organizing anything there? Are there lawyers on this? Is anyone thinking of a blockade, a vigil, an action?

Finom at Johnny Brenda's. Enjoyed sitting on the floor, staring through the iron railing, wearing earplugs, singing the songs I know. Finom, formerly known as Ohmme (Sima Cunningham and Macie Stewart) write weird, introspective little bangers.
