Ahmed al-Ahmed is a real hero. One correction to your post: I too said he was the owner of a fruit stand (that's what all the Aussie news sites said originally and I repeated it). He actually owns a tobacco shop. (1)

We should stop using the term "antifa" and say it in full every time: Anti Fascist. That's correct: we do not like fascists and we do not support fascism. Always ask for clarification about what 'antifa' means when someone uses the term.

I really enjoyed reading (and re-reading) this book. It is both very funny and very sad. It's horrible witnessing a marriage break up.

It costs a LOT of money (billions!!!) to make signs that look homemade. And who supplied all the special materials?? You can't get those markers and poster paint, let alone the broken-down cardboard boxes, just anywhere you know!!!!
