So glad we did a datacamp-writing-retreat at Kristineberg Center for Marine Research and Innovation. Doing parts of a project that normally are stressful and difficult was infinitely easier in such a beautiful place with lovely people and other organisms ☺️ Thanks also @jutfelt.bsky.social!

Now’s the perfect time to visit Finnish Archipelago. Finnish tourists are gone, weather is great, scenery and light amazing <3 Saw many German tourists who had decided to do that but it was not busy anywhere.

So excited to see work on food web changes and shrinking body size in fishes. This is a prime example in sardine, showing that ”warmer waters with smaller prey dramatically increase energy expenditure.”

I’m a salmon enthusiast and scientis. I run a project on physiological & evolutionary effects of heat waves on Atlantic salmon. Based in Finland (several locations, but mainly in Oulu☺️), affiliated with Natural Resources Institute Finland.
