I'm looking at the switch too. I came across a cool open source project that strips out all the bloat from Windows 11 called Talon if you're interested in that kind of thing

Oh that really sucks, sorry to hear it. I feel like Windows 10 got a lot more brittle lately.

I got feedback from players as soon as I had something even remotely playable. I've never regretted it! Best of luck getting your game to that place!
