Anti-AI hysteria has progressed from “it’s going to become ‘self aware’ and kill us all” to “it’s a corporate conspiracy to legitimize art theft.”
But Data Scientists ignore this populist mentality at our own peril. It’s growing and risks spiraling into a full blown neo-Luddite movement.

Make no mistake, there is a race by tech companies to normalize use of gen AI as fast as possible across creative fields, before sensibility within law can coalesce.
So fight back: reject using it in your workplace; inform friends sharing funny AI image memes; and mock its use to ardent backers.
