NYC almost empty nester and mostly hopeful soul. Curious about books, art, philosophy, religion, crafts as activism and maker spaces. Making & Sewing are keeping me somewhat sane…noting that sanity is a spectrum and we’re all on it.

I started back at the NYPL (New York Public Library) in September. This is my 6th book. I will prob finish today & will be sad when it is over. Sometimes, the right book finds you at the right time & resonates in a special way.

Museums are houses of things.

But each object contains the memories and lifetimes of the people who made, used and cared for them—sometimes over generations—and there are moments when we see them resurface in ways we could never anticipate.

Bought this a year ago, set it aside. Despite coming from Target, it seemed too special to use. What was I waiting for? Dunno.

OMG I just found it again today & the cover!!!! It’s a sign? Guess I might be crafting, writing, posting and participating here… rather than just consuming X content?—eeeek

Bye Bye Blue Bird. It was a ride…until it wasn’t. Hello, Blue Sky. Fighting to remain a hopeful soul. “We are here to help each other get through this thing, whatever it is” Kurt Vonnegut
