Recovering from Streptococcal toxic shock syndrome, lower limb disabilities, still cycling.
Raising money to help me walk again, see link http://bit.ly/4lFemDt
Spent the day measuring barriers and gates as part of a #disability review. Size and design of barriers varies, even on the same path. Gaps are preferable to gates and 1.5m should be the legal minimum.

Access was raised a by member of the @ruils.bsky.social Transport and Mobility Forum. If I arrived on a recumbent trike would I have to lock it up outside?

Hi, some similarities. I've been advised by a doctor to have a bka on the right and an ankle fusion on the left. I have drop foot and had a trans met amputation on the right. I've been told a prosthetic will be more functional. Interested to see how you get on.

Enjoy not having to open the gate at Craneford Way #disability #access

The rectified version seems equally as pointless and dangerous

A poorly designed footpath. The need to use every inch of space to provide parking for vehicles at the expense of a safe footway.

I was at Cardiff west service station and two cars pulled up outside Starbucks in disabled bays without a blue badge. Couple walk in without a care. Then below at teddington hospital. Apparently a help for heroes flyer and poppy now pass as a blue badge.

This statement needs more analysis. I believe in later years the Luftwaffe did head on attacks?

Hi @wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk @benwheels.bsky.social could you help with this response about some no cycling signs & barrier widths on this alley. Does a PROW have a different legal definition to a footway? Are there national standards on barriers widths?

The junction in the video is also different to the Gauden road / Lendal Terrace junction quoted in the article. Photo of the Gauden Road junction, the video is taken about 50m up the road.

This is the junction with Gauden Road. Cyclist hit by a left Turing vehicle. The video is another 50m up the road

I know. It would be odd, but probably not uncommon for different forces to interpret the law differently.

Councils and often some residents demand crack downs on lime bikes, but once a week leave streets difficult to navigate for hours.

First laps of Richmond Park since getting #sepsis in July 2023. Riding a new Ice Trike Adventure with Shimano Steps motor. It's a great ride although still making adjustments and understanding how it rides. #disability
