Can we try to be precise in how we frame this sentencing? He's *already* a convinced felon. Sentencing has zero to do with status as a convicted felon. And no one seemed to care much that he was a convicted felon when they voted for him

Yes, they did. And when the consequences of their vote visit themselves on these Trump voters, I won't have a shred of sympathy. This was all known or knowable before the election, and they voted for him anyways. They voted for exactly this.

I think we need someone who is a boy of a bully.

Every party that's escalating wants Trump to be president. That has to be part of this and the timing

Thanks! Just tuned in after seeing your comment, and wow. I usually skip Opening Ceremonies

Sorry, but the whole quote looks like a Buzzword Bingo card.

Will of the voters? Bull-f*ing-shit. What voters "chose" Biden? There was no one else on ANY of the primary ballots. You're saying that because there was not a write-in candidate winning anywhere (talk about unprecedented), that means that the will of the voters was to put Biden in? That's so stupid

All of us with a Michigan connection would love to see Whitmer run. This might not be the time, given that Biden stayed this long (and might not have been possible anyways).

If someone convinces her that she has the best shot against Trump, her statement means that she'll run

Does Boarders (BBC/Tubi) count?

"Working families" (worse: "hard-working families") has had me screaming for decades. In the 2000 campaign season, both parties ran on a one-time tax rebate. Sadly, Bush was the ONLY candidate pitching a version that would include me. The rest were families only. Voted Gore, but thru gritted teeth

Thankfully, it was so bad that I'm thinking that a lot of people wouldn't even realize that it was an ad for a current candidate. It looked like some silly reel - another commercial for whatever it was in a sea of commercials for whatever

Is it anywhere in the conversation that, if they reverse Colorado, there will literally be nothing states could to keep 33-year old and foreign-born candidates off their ballots? If the decision is about who can enforce eligibility, then what about the req for 35 years and natural born?

A lot of people did. I guess it just wasn't my cup of tea

I suspect a lot of people, when they hear "Christian Nationalist," think "I'm a Christian and I love my nation, that sounds great!" It's not necessarily the pejorative people want it to be. How about "Christian Supremacist?"

Honestly, I thought it really dragged. Maybe an hour shorter would have been better. And sometimes the "artsy" touches seemed a bit self-indulgent to ... someone or other. Felt like cinematic preening. And as a fan of IMAX, I thought the format was wasted on six-story headshots of conversations.
