It’s shameful that someone can be sued for lying about someone else in a social media post, but a major political party like Labor or the Liberals can get away with it. We desperately need truth in political advertising laws.
In Australia, it's legal to lie in a political ad.
In the next few months, we will endure another federal election campaign with unfiltered exposure to lies and disinformation, UNLESS the Government passes truth in political advertising laws, which 87% of Australians support.
