I'm convinced that was Trump's people calling Youngkin's people to get the signs down. They weren't worried about the vines growing on the fencing, just the political speech that offended their Dear Leader.

He's not sending "monitors" to Virginia because he has Youngkin to do his bidding. We were on a bridge overlooking I66 with protest signs a few days before No Kings Day. At ~11AM a motorcade came thru. At 2PM a VDOT crew told us to take our signs down. 3 hr response time is lightning speed for VDOT.
