In most other countries children with special needs are not included in their academic statistics. I'm a retired teacher and I can tell you the DOE has done so much for our children. The problem with education is what teachers get paid.

Those statistics compare apples to oranges. Thanks to the DOE ALL children have access to a free inclusive education regardless of ability. As the mother of a son with significant disabilities I am thankful for the DOE.
