By change have you read Rosenberg’s “Whatever It Is, I’m Against It” (2023 or 4)? It does a great job talking about the resistance to change in higher ed and how to help faculty, staff, admins overcome that fear.

Ridicule of fellow historians? That’s a winning and productive strategy.

A main goal of the assignment I shared in that *blog* piece is to teach students to think (and especially critically) ABOUT the limitations of LLMs. Many reflected the GPT writing is plagiarizing.

Would you have said this in this tone to my face at a conference or other venue? You’re certainly entitled to your (well established accepted feelings in our profession) on the topic and I encourage you to write your own SoTL experiences with your in class assignments and experiences.
