Lol. I've never experienced Alexa refuse to answer a question, but now I'm curious if it's closed-lipped on things other than Trump.

"I'm just asking questions."

Is it possible for USA Christians to not see our religion as a means to an end where our views and preferences are forced on others in the name of God? I often think it's not, and am grateful for glimpses of "sermon on the mount" Christianity.
Texas Republicans just passed a bill forcing every teacher to post the Ten Commandments in their classroom.

They passed it on the Sabbath… breaking the 4th Commandment.

Maybe they should try following the Ten Commandments before mandating them.

If you're looking for a financial incentive to improve your physical health, how does $50,000 sound? I enjoy this food-tracking app and geeking out on the data it gives me.

We can't understand what's happening in Christian Nationalist circles without talking about the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). Matthew Taylor is an amazing resource in this area. I've listened to icjs.org/charismatic-... many times - it's that good.

Actually, there is something I want for Christmas. 😎
Finally, a shirt that lets me proclaim, unashamed, my intense and almost overbearing sense of wanton masculinity, truly I am now the apex of all that is burly and manly and undeodorized in the world, just putting it on released a surging flood of testosterone that frightened the local birds and fish

Anyone been told about the "God Bless Bitcoin" 'documentary'?

Crypto is getting baptized with the usual mix of religious right fear, doom, and gross misuse of religion. It's amazing to see how widely the same recipe can be used. Bitcoin is moral and blessed by the Bible!

If a theological system has God deciding who should have power over whom, it was probably make up by the people who end up on top.

I'm blessed to have found a progressive Mennonite community in an areas that what like Christian Nationalism headquarters. They saved my faith in the (white) faith community.

What I remember Christians telling me:
"My values and integrity are more important than what people think of me."

What I've seen from them through MAGA:
"What I've been told to think of others is more important than my values and integrity."

Sometimes this feels hopeless.

Well, I’ll never be asked to sing Christmas songs at the psych ward again

Apparently, “do you hear what I hear”, was the wrong choice?

My only note from our first discussion group at church based on "Healing Spiritual Wounds: Reconnecting with a Loving God After Experiencing a Hurtful Church" (a.co/d/4EFoWhu)

Some healing can only be done in community. We can't learn unconditional love in a closet.

This is me! Just told my parents this week "I fear we learned about Jesus from the tradition that forgot everything after" full the earth and subdue it".
I post for all the kids who grew up in conservative households and have realized that being a liberal is actually way more Christlike.
