These franchises are all just saturated. Stories set in Star Wars or MCU come with a load of baggage and expectations.

Might it not also crush demand enough to be relatively neutral from a GDP perspective? Prices up, quantity demanded down, significant portion of revenues redirected to government. It may well be inflationary with respect to prices paid but deflationary from a real perspective.
