Old style whole virus vaccines have been known to cause Gillian Barre syndrome a crippling condition. My wife suffered with it at one time after getting a flu shot and was told to never take another whole virus vaccine. The mRNA vaccine allowed her to get the Covid shot with no issues.

There are currently studies using mRNA technology to invent cancer vaccines. Some cancers are already be treated with this successfully
