She/Her
New Englander. Lover of horror, cats, bats, dance, cooking, and plenty of of nonsense.
Finally watched The Invisible Man (1933) & loved every second
of those 71 mins. Now in my top favorite Universal horror movies. Story & special effects held up incredibly well & the themes still felt relevant in 2025. That's...fun.

Can't believe I waited so long to watch Slash/Back! Uki is now one of my favorite "final girls" but honestly all the teens are fantastic. It's available on Shudder and you should totally watch it if you're up for a fun, "The Thing"-type alien horror with bad-ass Inuit teen girls. Loved it.

Spent today at @salemhorrorfest.bsky.social watching The Substance followed by The Faculty of Horror's live podcast recording. That film honestly made me cry a few times. Also wanted to vomit a little bit (the foley work and SFX were effective)! Felt nice to unpack the experience with other people.

Simon summons the spirits (of extra Churu). My parents cleaned their attic and I couldn't let my early 90s Ouija Board go to Savers or the dump...

New England comfort food in uncomfortable times. Yes, that is brown bread that's steamed in a can (sweetened with molasses and raisins) and it's very good with butter or marmalade.

Finally watched Longlegs. I'm glad people seemed to like it, and there were some good performances in there, but this non-spoilery screenshot sums up my feelings about it.

Nonprofit work is very difficult right now, as is working in the reproductive rights field. Gus knew I needed post-work hangout time with a chunky little tabby today.

Not excited about adding new social media to my life but here I am & I've brought the cats along for the ride. It's going to be a long and dark 4 yrs. The last 8 yrs have already felt impossibly long. Slivers of hope are often cat-shaped but sometimes they're amorphous, made of rage & resistance.
