as a vacation treat I got myself this wood #modelkit and decided I'm gonna jazz it up with some pretty colors.

whether plastic and paint, or wood and colored pencils, it scratches the same itch: it feels good filling in the little details, to breathe life into it. make stuff pretty. #art

Morbidly curious with the graphic design. There's surprisingly little, maybe zero Jesus content in these, actually?

oh wait. there it is. that's why.

I also enjoyed those bits in Link's Awakening! It was a welcome change of pace to have little platforming sections in transitional areas, it made them feel like "secret passages" in a way

You can also use it for cutscenes or special rooms you want to draw attention to

"but how will Steam Frame compete against the Meta Quest 3?"

easily? like, have we not been clear enough? I don't want Meta required for a peripheral. Would you buy a TV with Meta account required? why's it different on your head?

Steam Frame is the clear winner vs. a thing I'll never ever buy

Reese's miniatures, individually wrapped in gold foil with orange logo

Reese's are chocolate peanut butter cups made with sugary peanut butter and mid milk chocolate

Quick tasty calories. savory sweet. gimme.

Okay, you can pick a candy bar or a fidget toy, what'll you have?

Reminds me of this Game & Watch. The zig zag time delay pieces at each stage are a devious bit of multitasking game design... Fun concept!

this. this is cursed

Cheers, friend. ☕ My brain is a lot like your brain and I like hearing you talk about it. You're processing a lot of what I am also processing. That's it. So let's get comfy cozy and talk about it. ❤️

Games are designed to train you as a player to reach mastery.

Some games are patient teachers; some are strict.

It's that Souls-like, rudely punishing yet consistent, vague hints & intriguing set pieces with no further instructions vibe… is this room even a thing? Did I miss a key item? Am I being fucked with again? Feels incredible to play blind and make progress, but also yeah. Hard.

It's okay to ask "can you explain what you mean by that?" and see if they can find the self-awareness to remove their foot from their mouth

like, friend, I'm sorry society gave you the wrong idea here but this is also what it looks like? so update your pokédex or whatever

But yeah, reminds me of:

What have you done, incorporating a fun space/infinity logo?! People will tattoo this on their body, you know

Origami Transforming Cube by Austin Vojta (Makerworld)

fresh off the holographic bed, this is the one #3Dprinting friends, this is the new fidget you wanna print!

so many excellent filament options for this model!
what's next: glow in the dark? or the one that changes color with your body heat?

I imagine the #neurodivergent / #autism spectrum 🏳️‍🌈♾️ like spectroscopy:

A star's light tells us what it's made of. Distinct elements can be identified, but there are so many stars and overlapping element combos! Maybe similar, but each unique. Some (brain) elements just burn brighter than others.

If it helps, there are apps to make a genogram, and rules/guidelines for what symbols to use etc., but like... you can also use powerpoint and emoji! Or draw it and add stickers! Do what feels right!

As long as it makes sense to you, and any care worker willing to listen to you ramble about it

I'm learning about genograms for the first time as a solo therapy tool, and I gotta say autistic me loves this idea. Like I'd probably hate the process but if we wanna REALLY get into *hand flourish* ✨all of this✨, I'm gonna need time and visual aids
