I guess that’s why she doesn’t care.

Pretend for a moment that you aren’t 68 years old and out of touch with reality.
Tell yourself you’re a strong woman who doesn’t cave in to Republican men when they lie.
THEY ALWAYS LIE
November 10, 2025 at 3:09 AM
It’s disappointing how many Democratic senior citizens in our government roll over for Republicans. I would’ve thought the lot of you have lived long enough to know better.
November 10, 2025 at 3:02 AM
78 years old and completely out of touch. Do yourself a favor and let this term be your last. Let someone else, who actually cares, take your seat.
November 10, 2025 at 2:55 AM
Weak. Predictable. Disgusting.
November 10, 2025 at 2:51 AM
First, that idiot isn’t making these decisions. Second, they really think they will be in control forever. Third, they don’t give two shits about citizens.
November 8, 2025 at 2:22 AM
I agree. I wish I knew how. The radio? Cable tv? Flyers? Post cards? Newspapers?
But multiple job people might not be able to afford to take a stand.

There are so many that don’t follow politics.
The population is 337 million, not like the past-there are more of us now, not like other countries uprisings-they didn’t/don’t have as many people.
There is no way the majority of us can get on the same page.
July 4, 2025 at 1:04 AM
It blows my mind that other countries continue to make deals with us as if everything is normal. This admin has no consequences from anyone. I guess we have to go down in flames for everyone to wake up. It could have been prevented. All of it.

So it’ll go back to the way it was a few years back. Texans will get it from surrounding states just like with gambling or they’ll get it on the street. Our state misses out on so much money, billions in taxes.
March 26, 2025 at 9:37 PM
Dan Patrick & the TX Lege have screwed up priorities as usual.
Who knew the TX billionaires wanted religion in schools for their big donations?
If I were a teacher I’d put up bigger posters of other religions right by the commandments.
March 21, 2025 at 1:26 AM
Makes me sick. But maybe democratic politicians like this administration? They keep playing ball like everything is normal.
March 14, 2025 at 9:24 PM
Too nice, I like @repjasmine.bsky.social answer better.
March 5, 2025 at 7:08 PM
That’s a good theory.
Unfortunately I know people that vote red down ballot and don’t know, or care to learn, about the people they vote for. They vote in most elections. They’ve voted red their entire lives and always will.
It’s infuriating. Their willful ignorance grinds my gears.
March 5, 2025 at 2:13 AM
Surely Europe talked/encouraged Zelensky before this shitshow took place.
This is beyond repulsive.

Kids having access to food at schools will help this situation. Food insecurity is a big player in poverty. It would be awesome if more people had access to finance/budget information to help them stretch their new permanent income. Maybe short videos or flyers? 3/3
February 22, 2025 at 6:42 PM
We’d need an amendment so this could be more permanent, without risk. Congress has to do that. The way to persuade is to find the money. Refiguring the tax bracket would help. Again, congress has to do that. We’d have to figure out the best amount for each person, considering inflation. 2/3
February 22, 2025 at 6:36 PM
Great idea. We’d have to figure out a sum for those not required to file(like seniors)or that don’t file(and a lot of them have kids). Congress would have to pass this. Term limits might help that because as it stands, this is too progressive for the current congress. 1/3
February 22, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Our tax code would need to change.
An amendment would need to be added to the Constitution.
Universal school food program.
Just to name a few.
You already convinced me, I’m on your side.
February 22, 2025 at 4:15 PM
That’s an interesting idea. This alone will not work unless other changes are made. You proved your point well and made clear the benefits of this program. We need to figure out the other changes first for something like this to work and last.
