I might feel morally better if I knew my tax dollars weren't funding weapons in the Middle East. Realistically though, even if we had an arms embargo, that doesn't mean the bombing would stop. If anything, cheaper, more destructive weaponry would likely be deployed, resulting in even more deaths.

I, too, would like a ceasefire in Gaza, but I'm under no illusion that the U.S. will be the deciding factor at this point. Ultimately, the power to end the conflict lies with Netanyahu and the leaders of Hamas - neither of whom appear at all likely to budge anytime soon.

I'm feeling so tempted to unfollow some of the prominent activists I follow on social media because I'm sick to death of the false rhetoric that Harris and Walz are "pro-genocide." This is just untrue and a gross misrepresentation of current events.

All the centrist naysayers poo pooing Walz can take a hike. The man isn't a radical progressive. He's a down-to-earth, hard-working, true public servant capable of passing legislation that benefits people from all walks of life. I haven't been this excited since Obama.
