A hard part of having a family full of different Nero diverse styles is listening to a different family having a lot of fun outside together and knowing that's not gonna happen

I'm going to the observatory tonight, hoping we can see the planet parade! Last time we went it was sooo cold and cloudy.

Love the sentiment for buying Canadian, or at least anything but American right now. Also thinking, for people who were already struggling to afford groceries, and that US sourced food may start to be discounted to remember that feeding yourself and family is more important.

Where'd you get the bulk of your moral influence growing up? For me, Star Trek, Little House on the Prairie, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman were a few big influencers that spring to mind. Also got "street smarts" from Degrassi and The after school specials.

Had a few days down in Vegas, primary event was seeing The Killers at the colosseum. The venue was incredible and the show was the best concert I've ever been to! We spoiled ourselves with some foodie experiences and saw some cool artistic venues (highlight Area 15)

I was pleasantly surprised the other day that the new series of Call the Midwife has begun. Such a comfort show

I don't visit the Calgary library very often, which is a bit of a shame on me. But seems like they're still recovering from the IT breach months back

I tried some press on nails last night. And failed. I admit probably an element of user error but I couldn't get them to adhere on the edges well and the LM being glued on top of my nail I found painful. Took them all off this morning already.

Only made it to about 11pmish last night but my Kids and Husband stayed up to see the New Year in. Sitting in my fuzzy PJs with tea after having had leftover Chinese food for breakfast. Hello 2025

2024, you were a mixed year. Some great achievements at work and a meaningful volunteer recognition. Some wins and worries over my children (but would I ever not worry?), and some sadness, loss of friends and family. 2024 was a bit much on losing people too early.

I discovered a hidden skill. these videos on TikTok/Insta called uncutting food. And it starts with basically macerated food and plays the video in reverse. The idea is to guess correctly before it's super obvious. I have been able to guess the ones I've seen, usually within the first few seconds

I hallucinated a big loud crash this morning. At least I think I did. No evidence of anything crashed down in the house or outside that I could see. No one else seemed to stir. Happens once on a while

One of my favorite Christmas traditions has been formed in recent years. My in-laws family side adopts seniors to be a secret Santa in place of gift exchange among us all. This year we adopted 3 Seniors and I hope they will know they are cared for and feel special at Christmas.
