A few years ago, every vacant lot in Taos had yellow wildflowers growing. Click on the image for full view of Taos Mtn. in the background looming over field and house in Taos.

Painted 15 years ago on vintage medicine cabinet with sliding doors. Inside is another view of same scene. I call these pieces "Story Boxes" because the exterior & interior paintings can tell a story to be determined by the individual viewer. "Abiquiu Lake." Figures on left are angels/separate

Hollyhocks as viewed by a 4-5 year sitting on the ground peering through the tall flowers. A more pacific view and scene are in the background. As a child I spent many hours sitting under large fuchsia shrubs.

One of my favorite Chaim Soutine paintings. Please check out my next two paintings, and I believe you will see a similarity and heritage.

A painting done about 10 years ago of a hillside at Taos Land Trust. I reworked the sky in 2025 to make it more in line with the dynamic of the trees and foreground hillside field. This painting is the sibling of the next painting and would like to be adopted together.

2025 painting at Taos Land Trust, depicting movement by mixing painting on the canvas (wet-into-wet paint) and free strokes. I like Chaim Soutine landscapes.

48" by 30" painting of hillside on Hwy 17 in Colorado. Please compare to the smaller paintings of the same hill. I am more free with the large work, and I enjoy painting that way.

A series of small paintings of a hillside on Hwy 17. I have a VERY difficult time painting small work because of a lifelong hand tremor which has a mind/will of its own.
