Searching for a nicer place where the kind people reside.
I'm no expert either. Just aware that the ruling party in Tanzania has never 'lost' an election since independence. Which is quite an impressive feat. Think elections this month also went the 'expected' way.

I know you're not a football fan but when I was a kid, the FA Cup (when it was good) got me through winter. 3rd Round, 3rd Round replays, 4th round draw, games postponed in snow and replayed. It was March before you knew it.

Brill. Lily often reminded me of the brilliant cutting lyrics and melodies of Kirsty MacColl. There will of course never be another but Lily is great in her own right.

Russia aren't competing as far as I know but wouldn't put it past FIFA/Trump to find a unpalatable workaround.

Reminded me of Ched Evans case. His supporters may or may not have had a point about whether or not the threshold for crime was committed on the evidence but equally, on the uncontested evidence, his behaviour was that of a horrible, horrible person. Ditto Connelly.

The three kicks scored - Russo/Kelly & Bronze were as good as any you'll see in a shoot out - but yes, out of context to the rest.

Given time wasting can be batters or bowlers sanctions hard to police. Simplest solution would be 30 overs per session and time taken away from lunch/tea intervals. Second session to start at 1.40pm regardless..

Enjoyable day at Hove. Really good attendance and always one nerdy spectator (me), happy to document it all..

'foreign o-o-object in my mouth', Your Light by Big Moon because it is the only aberration in an otherwise glorious piece of pop perfection.

Doesn't this miss the point?. The paying spectator on any given day deserves value for money, regardless of when the match ends. I'm all for the fines.
