New adult? Coming of age?

My MC wants to succeed as a engineer at Bell Labs - the prestigious research arm of AT&T - but it’s hard for an introvert like her - and so much easier to get together with her old college pals and take mushrooms seeing the Grateful Dead. Oh yeah… it’s 1987 #CRPBees
