Caught a Saturday morning classics screening of Marty (1955) while visiting Portland. Good turnout, bigger than the audience for Friendship later that day. According to Letterboxd, I've now seen 1% of films by Delbert Mann.

Inspired by @jamesleocahill.bsky.social's mobile cinema posts, I offer these (not-great) photos of a (very great) festival held in Frankfurt last September. These are from the Pupille Kino screenings at the uni student center (the rest took place in the plush filmmuseum). exff.de/en

The Egyptian Theatre in LA is running their nitrate film festival through Feb 23. Films include Powell and Pressburger's GONE TO EARTH, which made me realize I never knew that color on nitrate base was possible. I can only imagine its beauty. www.egyptiantheatre.com/series/ameri...
